Marissa Barnartt, Professional Organizer
Over the years, I found that a disorganized space would leave me distracted and unable to focus, but others around me didn't always see organizing as a priority.
My path to becoming a Professional organizer was anything but direct. I earned my diploma from Seneca College in Human Resources in 2008, and subsequently worked in accounting and finance, eventually becoming a Financial and Insurance Advisor.
Working in a number-based industry required a certain level of organization, which I embraced, and my background in HR provided me with the tools to help others through challenging spaces - both mental and physical.
My Philosophy
Your home is one of your biggest investments, and shouldn't be the source of stress, but rather the place where you feel most at ease.
Clutter and disorganization can creep up on us, and cause increasing stress and anxiety. It can make us less efficient when we need to redo work, search for missing items, or have to buy duplicate items.
